Harrison Parks
Harrison City Park Located within the City of Harrison on Spruce Street Size: 40 Acres Restrooms Ten picnic areas with grills, 4 with pavilions & electricity Play areas with slide & swings, wooden train play equipment, sandbox, climbing apparatus Little League fields 4 fenced baseball/softball diamonds & concession stand Tennis courts 10 horseshoe pits Basketball court Call Harrison City to reserve a pavilion (989) 539-7145 Hayes Township Outdoor Park Located north of Wilson State Park on Townline Lake Road adjacent to the Hayes Township Hall and the Hayes Township Civic Center. Basketball courts, tennis courts, soccer fields, walking trail, concession and bathroom facilities. Call the Hayes Township Hall at (989) 539-7128. Wilson State Park Located within the City of Harrison on the shores of Budd Lake across from the Clare County Fairgrounds. Picnic, camping, swimming beach, boating, and playground facilities available. State Park permit required for entry. For further information or reservations call (989) 539-3021. Village of Farwell Village of Farwell Park Located in downtown Farwell. Picnic pavilion, playground, public restrooms. No overnight camping. Call Village of Farwell Hall at (989) 588- 9927 for hours of operation. Additional Parks Garfield Township Swimming Beach At intersection of Florence and North Shore Drive. Near Lake. No facilities. Gerrish Railroad Roadside Park Located on Old US 27 south of Mannsiding Road between Clare and Harrison. Beautifully landscaped park with picnic facilities on bridge-covered stream. Flowing natural water well, restrooms, ample parking. No overnight camping/facilities. Hamlin Field Recreation Area Lake George’s Lincoln Township is home to this field which celebrates long-time resident Luke Hamlin “Hot Potato” who was a famous Detroit Tigers pitcher from 1928-1934. Shingle Lake Park Located in Lake George, Lincoln Township. Boat launch with fishing platform, swimming beach, playscape playground, picnic and pavilion facilities. Public restrooms.
